There was pandemonium in the morning of Tuesday, August 15 at the All Progressives Congress (APC) Ondo state headquarters in Akure, the state capital as some frustrated Ondo APC party-men shut down the office against the APC state chairman Hon Isaac Kekemeke.
An allegation was brought against the state chairman that he called for a meeting with ward party chairmen in the morning of Tuesday, August 15 at the party secretariat over the August 27, governorship primary election of the party.
It was reported that the objective of the meeting was to convince the ward chairmen to assemble other delegates of the APC to back the anointed aspirant Dr Segun Abraham, among the 24 aspirants jostling for the sole governorship ticket
A few days ago, the national leader of APC and former Lagos state governor Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu indicated his total support for Abraham ahead of the governorship primary.
One Hon Tolu Babaleye, and Adekole Jimmy, popularly known as JAF, who led the aggrieved members were seen padlocking the APC headquarters.
On the other hand, all means to get to Kekemeke to speak on the issue was not successful as his phone lines were switched off as at the time the news came in.
Moreso, the APC Publicity secretary, Omo’ba Omosanya Abayomi had recently said there will not be anything like imposing one candidate over the others.
