Corps member raped and murdered in Ibadan days to wedding

According to a report by The Nation, Omolola Abogunrin, was allegedly raped and murdered by unknown men 13 days to her wedding and on her 29th birthday.

The Corps member was reportedly murdered in the premises of an agriculture research institute located at Apata area of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital last Sunday.

The deceased was said to have been raped and strangled beside a stream within the premises of the institute.

Her fiancee, Olusola Babalola, has since been arrested and detained by the police.

Residents said the deceased appeared to be returning from church when she was waylaid by the hoodlums.
