Goals from Ambrose Efe, Moses Simon and Odion Ighalo, handed Cameroon their first defeat in six games.
The win comes days after a shambolic display against DR Congo which triggered the ire of many Nigerians and eased pressure on coach Sunday Oliseh after his major fall out with Lille goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama.

Enyeama had alleged that his confrontation with gaffer Sunday Oliseh arose after his dead mother was insulted.
But in a swift response, Oliseh claimed Enyeama lied and committed character assassination.
But just when many thought the Oliseh-Enyeama rift had begun to die down, following the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF)’s disclosure of a testimonial to be organised for Enyeama, Oliseh tweeted the message below, and it has got people talking.
Oliseh said: “I dedicate this scintillating victory of the Super Eagles over Cameroon to all “true” Naija fans who irrespective of all the lies believed.”
Perhaps believing that the statement may appear as a jab at Enyeama, Oliseh went on to delete the tweet, and has now replaced it with this:
I dedicate this scintillating victory of the super eagles over Cameroon to all ‘true’ Naija fans…….

Sunday Oliseh recently came under heavy attack following the departure of former Super Eagles captain Vincent Enyeama and 2-0 defeat to DR Congo in a friendly in Belgium.
However, he shared his thoughts afterwards on the sudden retirement of Vincent Enyeama and the embarrassing defeat to Congo in an international friendly.
