Morgan Freeman's Granddaughter Stabbed To Death By Boyfriend While Shouting About 'Jesus' & 'Devils' In Possible Drug Fueled Fit — Details Here

This is such tragic news.
Morgan Freeman's family is grieving after his granddaughter E'dena Hines was stabbed to death in New York early Sunday morning.

Apparently, the 33-year-old was stabbed multiple times in the abdomen before being found and taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Morgan released as statement about the horrific murder, saying:
"The world will never know her artistry and talent, and how much she had to offer. Her friends and family were fortunate enough to have known what she meant as a person. Her star will continue to shine bright in our hearts, thoughts and prayers. May she rest in peace."

E'Dina was an actress herself, having attended NYU's graduate acting program, and even went to some Hollywood events with her Grandfather, like the 2005 Golden Globes as well as the Dark Knight premiere.

Lamar Davenport, E'Dena's boyfriend, has been arrested after a witness came forward claiming to have seen Davenport stab his girlfriend.

A witness, George Hudacko, called the police after he saw the attack around 3 a.m. and immediately called 911. He claimed that he overheard the Lamar yell:

"Get out, devils. In the name of Jesus Christ, I cast you out."

Another witness, Brydon Tarafa, was residing at his apartment when he claims that after a woman screamed, he heard a man shouting:

"Jesus Christ is born."

Davenport's a rapper and an aspiring actor with two children — and also happens to have a criminal record with a history of violence. He's been arrested six times in the past for things such as marijuana possession and petit larceny.

A law enforcement source revealed that E'Dena's boyfriend may have been high on cocaine at the time and was reportedly reciting verses from the bible before he was dragged from her body. Another witness claimed that the rapper boyfriend continued to make a stabbing motion towards Hines' body — even with the knife stuck in the body.

Lamar was taken to the New York's Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center to be psychologically tested and evaluated before being taken to the police and questioned.
